Double-click to edit text in autocad lt for mac 2013

I used to be able to double-click a dtext or mtext to edit it.  Same with text within a dimension string.  The last couple of days, that's no longer possible.  I can still use the tool set palette or go through the series of drop down menus to edit, but it's not nearly as convenient.  Has anyone else had the problem and found a way to resolve it?  Thanks.

Hi,

What do you see at the Command prompt when you double-clock text object?
Are you able to open Block Editor when you double-click on block? (Or Edit Attribute window if the block contains attributes).

Sorry about the delay, ...meetings.  When I double-click a text object, nothing appears in the command prompt line.  Similarly, nothing happens and nothing appears in the command prompt line when I double-click a block with editable attributes or any block.

Does double-clicking works outside AutoCAD? For example in Finder (double-click on document - does it open associated application ?)
Have you tried to restart your Mac?
Anything was installed on your Mac recently?

Yes, double-clicking works outside AutoCad.  And I have tried restarting the Mac.  Nothing new on the Mac for a long while now.  The double-click issue is only three days old now.

Have you tried to reset AutoCAD options from Application tab of AutoCAD preferences?

No, I haven't.  How much will that change?  Will I lose things like customized tool sets, etc.?  I was hoping for a more surgical fix, but that may be my only option.

Yes, resetting will affect customization, so at first you can try just to trash AutoCAD preferences file. Look for it in ~/Library/Preferences folder (Library folder inside your Home folder) the name of .plist file should start with "com.autodesk"

I found the files:  com.autodesk.MCEFramework.plist.  So if I move it to the trash (or to the desktop?), will AutoCad generate a new one?  Is that the idea?  Thanks for all your help.

Preferences file for AC 2013 for Mac name is:

com.autodesk.AutoCAD.R19.0.ACAD-B032.409.plist

seems you have found wrong file.
And yes, after you trash "com.autodesk.AutoCAD.R19.0.ACAD-B032.409.plist" file AutoCAD will create new one with default preferences (but your customization will be intact)

Great, that worked!  It even seems to be responding more quickly now.  Thanks again for you help.
