Creating surface from complex rails/lines/frame

Hello autocad users!

I am currently a new user to this autocad 2013 (mac) and am having my fair share of difficulties. I recently "graduated" from sketchup and am trying to create a form from a frame though to no avail. I have all the lines I want, though I have no idea where to begin for putting a surface/ turning the frame into a solid shape. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

In AutoCAD you can create Region object as a kind of flat 2D surface from an area, enclosed by 2D objects (lines, arcs, splines). You can use BOUNDARY (BPOLY) command to accomplish this.

Than (if you need) you can convert this Region to Surface object with CONVTOSURFACE command.
