Hi there,
I'm trying to create a section from a landscape plan that I've drawn over surveyor's data with spot elevations. I've been doing it the old fashioned way by drawing a grid and offsetting lines to the grid. In searching for a quicker and easier method I came accross the following video on "Section and Detail Views:"

Are these features available in AutoCAD for Mac 2014? (I'm using the student version if that matters...) Or does anyone have any suggestions for techniques in crating sections from plans?
Thanks very much.
Hi Maxim
I've tried using the Dview and Section Plane and Generating Section Plane Block but my drawings aren't showing all my objects when I have selected my sections. Any advice?
(I'm using Mac Autocad 2013)
Many thanks

Maxim thank you for getting back to me so quickly, I really appreciate it. Basically, I want a camera view or a section view. But I know Autocad on Mac doesn't offer camera view. I have a 3D drawing and I would like to get long and short sections of portions of it, it as well as a perspective. I have attached a screenshot. When I get a section, it doesn't include all the objects in that section.
Many thanks.
Karen
Hi Maxim
That is correct, I cannot see objects that I should be able to see. Sorry for not explaining it very well. Find an example of one of my sections attached, beside the main image. The view in this attachment is perspective, SE isometric in 2Dwireframe. I have tried other views, parallel, realistc. Top view and tried 3dorbit. Perhaps I am missing a step between sectionplane and generatesectionplanetoblock or something. Any help appreciated.
