copy to layer

What's happened to copytolayer?

It is also missing from the "missing command list"

It is not an express tool as it was incorporated in AutoCAD a few years / releases back

Hi John,

Try my rough Lisp file (no error checking, don't change cmdecho, etc.) See attachment.

Load COPYTOLAYER.FAS (Tools -> Load Application)

Type COPYTOLAYER at command prompt.

Many thanks, works fine for me.

Hopefully they will have it embedded in the next release

Does this work for Autocad for Mac 2016? I thought I loaded it yesterday, but when I tried using it today the command didn't exist. Would you mind walking me through the proper procedure for loading this file so that it stays without re-loading it each day?

Thank you for your help.

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

If you want to load AutoLISP routine each time you start AutoCAD or open new (or existing) drawing, you can add it to "Startup Suite" from Load Application window (APPLOAD command):
