AutoCAD LT 2015 with Yosemite 10.10.1 crashing despite Update 2?

Hi there,

I have installed Yosemite 10.10.1 and AutoCADLT2015Update2_English.dmg but AutoCAD LT continues to crash!!

Does anyone know if any more updates on the way?

Cheers,

o

Hi,

Please describe your problem in more details.
When it crashes?

Hi,

It's crashing almost every time I try to open a drawing, be it through
'File > Open' or Project Manager. It also crashes if I attempt to relink an
Xref.

I have tried checking the 'Activate OpenGL Core Profile' checkbox as
advised in a previous post
(/Users/oliviamoore/Library/Caches/TemporaryItems/A$C399C4022.DWG) but to
no avail.

Any help appreciated - it's just crashed AGAIN!

Thanks!

Have you tried to reset AutoCAD?
Please describe your hardware - your Mac model, how much RAM do you have, etc.
Do you open DWG files from local disk or from Network drive?
How complex are the files that crashed AutoCAD on opening or relinking Xrefs?

Hi,

It is a known issue that on Yosemite, the Select File dialog crashes a lot. We have logged the bug to Apple, but the issue is not resolved yet. Please try the workaround in the following page and see if it helps.

Thanks,

Hi,

Thanks for looking into this!

No, I haven't tried resetting AutoCAD but will give that a go.

My Mac is a Mac Book Pro from way back in 2011 but has had a wee upgrade:
2.3 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB

I am opening the DWG files from a local disk and they are very simple drawings...one or two I tried opening only had a handful of lines in them!

Cheers,

Most likely Wei is right in his assumption about column view in Open dialog.
