I'm using AutoCAD LT 2013 for Mac and any time I save to, export to or batch publish the pdf. files end up being 5x the size of the pdf's created from my 2009 PC AutoCAD version. Any solution here? I'm trying to batch publish 5 drawings and the file ends up being 15mb... and not very email compatable.
Thanks Maxim. I use a lot of text and it's the "Archstyle" text. Do you think that if I used a more simple text style then it would reduce the file size?
As you are using Archstyle font in your drawings, I think I was wrong, the case is not in it, because it is SHX font and it always rendered to PDF as a set of vector object on Mac and on Windows. My words about font files related to TTF fonts.
Are you using plot style table in page setup for your drawings?
If so, please check "Line end style" and "Line join style" settings for colors, you are using in your drawings.
Try to set them to "Use object end style" and "Use object join style" and test saving to PDF.
Does file size decreased?
Please let me know
I'm using plot sytle table in page setup and I have them set up to use the "Use object end style" and "Use object join style". Attached is a screen shot. I'm having to bounce back and forth between machines to create pdf's... very unproductive!
