AutoCAD LT 2013 for Mac crashes on start up following AutoCAD update

Hi,

please excuse me if this has been answered but I'm new hear.

I run an iMac (3.4GHz Intel Core i7 16GB 1600MHz DDR3) with OS X Mavericks 10.9.5 and AutoCAD LT 2013 for Mac.

After opeing CAD there was a notification that an update was available (G055.M.305.r2.acadlt.mac.x64.update) so I installed this.

Thereafter, I have been unable to open AutoCAD - the start up shows for about 2 seconds then goes away.

Is there a solution to this?

Many thanks,

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi Paul,

Try to download trial version of AutoCAD LT 2015 for Mac, install it, than try to launch AutoCAD LT 2013. It should work now.
Than you can remove AutoCAD 2015.

Hi Maxim,

thanks for responding.

I did find a similar post and ended up restoring AutoCAD from Time Machine before the update which has worked fine, so no uninstall/reinstall.

Frustrating nevertheless though.

Kind regards,

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!
Hi e.hay2568,
If you are about 2015 trial installation, than here is a short explanation:
SP3 for AC LT 2013 contains License Manager Utility component (new version) and for some reason after installation this component break AutoCAD 2013 functionality.
Trial version of AC 2015 for Mac includes the same component which works correctly with AC 2013, so 2015 trial installation repairs the LMU component which is broken by SP3 installation.
