Autocad for the Mac doesn't launch on replacement hard drive

I recently had to replace the h/d on my iMac as the old one crashed and burned. I was able to transfer all the data and everything works EXCEPT for AutoCad, which on launching states that "certain folders AC needs access to are not available". The support page mentions a "FLEXnet Publisher folder" located in Library/Preferences, which is nowhere to be found. It's important to mention that reinstalling software was done manually, neither Time Machine or Migration Assistant was used. Any idea of how to get it up and running?

Welcome to Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

What version of AutoCAD do you have and what OS is on your Mac?
Could you post screenshot of AutoCAD alert?
Try to uninstall AutoCAD with Remove AutoCAD application and then install it again.

Autocad for Mac v 2013: OS 10.6.8. Message alert attached. I should mention this is (was) an academic download, which no longer seems available from Autodesk.

So according to the alert you have permissions problem on your Mac.
What happens if you select "Learn more"?
Does your words "no longer available" means that you have no AutoCAD installation image and can not reinstall AutoCAD?

Aaaah, I see that I was mistaken and that in fact Autocad for Mac v 2014 is available as a student download. With that I will uninstall v 2013 as suggested & install the latest version, hopefully with no further problems. Thx.

If you are going to install AutoCAD 2014, you also will need to upgrade your Mac OS to 10.8 (Mountain Lion) or to 10.9 (Mavericks).

Indeed I do, which is why I decided on 2013 instead. Thx again.
