Hi,
I think that the AutoCAD installer will prevent installation on your Mac because of 2007 year of production.

Thanks for getting back to me,
is there a way of over-riding the installer? I'm a student, and cant afford to buy a new computer!

Never tried.
But I had successful experience with installing AC 2013 for Mac on early 2008 Mac Pro without any modifications in installer.
