Welcome to the Autodesk Forums!

Hi,

Does tis happens even in new, just created file?

How complex are the drawing file(s) you are working on?

Did you created DWG file yourself, or you got it from another person?

What other commands hangs AutoCAD?

Maxim

I think that the problem identified

this does not occur on new documents

it happens with documents created on autocad from windows

There could be some settings (or objects) in files that comes from Windows side that prevents normal functionality of AutoCAD for Mac (great amount of Layer filters, Proxy objects, etc.)

What if you try to erase everything in one of your problem drawings (in a copy of it), than draw something and try to reproduce the problem - start TRIM command for example. Does it behaves the same way?

AutoCAD 2014 for MAC is not working propertly with drawing created on Win platform. If you take clear list and creat drowing on it, CAD go fine, but if get drawing (with some information on it, created with Civil 3D, converted from Revit,) CAD 2014 for MAC cant work propertly..... He goues slow, hangs when you try move, zoom, or select objekts.

Autodesk must solve this problem, becose MAC is great OS, and AutoCAD for MAC have a strong attraction.

Thanks for your feedback.

If you see AutoCAD for Mac works slow with some drawings(created from win or verticals), could you please send me the drawing or share it on netdrive?

My email: wei.ma@autodesk.com

Please briefly describe the situation how it gets slow and we will investigate deep into it.

Thanks,
Wei

HI,

There are a couple of issues (performance degradation) knowing when opening some DWG files in AutoCAD for Mac, including files with a lot of TEXT (MTEXT) objects created with TTF fonts
These issues are not still resolved.
Could you send your problem file to my e-mail:
mkanaev at yandex.ru
I can look at it and, maybe I can give you some advices how to work with such files.

Maxim
