2012 for Mac - No FILTER or QSELECT

I can't believe neither of these appear to be available in the Mac version. I could just about do without on method of filtering a selection set, but both?

Or am I missing some other method which has been implemented in lieu?

OK I should have checked first and now I see that it is indeed missing

But I am one of those who would find it very difficult to move over to the Mac version without it.

Hi,

Autodesk recommends to use SELECTSIMILAR command in this case.

But you can also try command line Quick Select from my blog: Quick Select For Autocad For Mac

I tried SELECTSIMILARand had no success.

Say I want to select all linework which are the color Red on a drawing regardless of layer how would I do that with SELECTSIMILAR (please state all the steps because I tried numerous times without sucess)

also, is there a LISP that works that gives this functionality?

thx

Tell Autodesk all about anything you wish here where they seek user input https://www.autodesk.com/company/contact-us/product-feedback

You can also try...  https://help.autodesk.com/view/ACDMAC/2023/ENU/?guid=GUID-FC5D0669-7C2C-452F-A73D-430238A6F79B#:~:te...

and if you are not hobbled by being in the LT version, you could delve into the world of LISP to create (or find on the web and use) more custom solutions.
