User defind wire number for a wire type but number all other by line reference

Allow the user to create a wire number for a given wire type that does not increment with each new wire of that type.

for example i have a wire type called GND & GND_FW. these wires are always taged with a wire number value of GND, that has to be entered each time by hand.

I would like to be able to run a drawing/project wide wire retag that that would tag the GND wire types with a value of GND, while still taging all other by the line reference

autocad does have a user format override but it still increments the wire tag. so after the first tag of GND I get GNE..GNF..GNG and so on. this is not what I want.

Locate your wd.env file in the aedata folder you are using; within this file there is a line that reads:

*SETQ:GBL_wd_wnum_noduplicate_chk,'("GND" "24VDC" "COM")

Remove the * from the begining of this line, this activates the line.

When this line is activated, any text string listed is ignored by the duplicate wire number check. For example now all motors can have a 'GND' wire and Electrical will not complain or try to renumber them.

It's not exactly whay you want but it will help you in yoour quest a bit.
