When a PLC is split using the command Split PLC, the software should automatically add a XREF attribute to both portions of the PLC and update the cross reference values
I would add an extra functionality to this post. Is it possible to add a XREFPREV and a XREFNEXT attributes to split PLC-modules. The reason is that I use 32-bit input parametric PLC-modules that I spilt into four symbols, one parent and three children – each containing eight inputs. These parent and children are placed on separate sheets.
The XREFPREV-attribute has to contain the cross-reference of the child (or parent) symbol on the previous sheet and the XREFNEXT-attribute the cross-reference of the child-symbol on the next sheet.
