I have never used the wire size lookup before, but gave it a try. Tried to get a screen shot, but couldn't sharpen it enough to read.
Load info: 600v, 3 phase, 438FLA, 1.25FLA multiplier, 547.5 maximum load, using RHW/75C copper wire, 0.8 continuous load correction, with include paralleled wire options checked.
The values I get range from 250MCM, 3 conductors to 1000MCM, 7-9 conductors. This is backed up by NEC 310.15(B)(16) formerly 310.16, which sizes based on amperage, of course, and conductors in conduit.
I said all that to ask this: Is there any available function to this that can determine cable sizes in cable tray? Our company builds equipment centers using MCM/DLO to run between switchgear and MCC equipment, almost always in cable tray. We need a uniform way to size cables, from designer to designer, but haven't found one yet.
Thanks in advance for any help.
