Hi Joe,
This currently cannot be done automatically by the wire numbering command.
It does not take into consideration if a cable marker is found anywhere in a
wire network when it decides on what wire number to assign. But this would
be a nice feature ( ! ).
For now, I think that a small AutoLisp utility might be put together to give
you what you're looking for. You'd run it across a project and it would
format and insert "fixed" wire numbers based upon the cable tag name and the
suffix sequential. One question I can think of is this... the order of the
suffixes added to the cable tag name... can they be assigned "randomly" or
do they need to follow the cable conductor sequence that may be defined in
the _W0_CBLWIRES table?

I think that have gone through most of the wire numbering posts and can not
seem to find what I am looking for. I am curious if there is a way to relate
the wire number to the cable tag. I would like to name the wires with a
cable tag, then when I go to do a drawing or project wide wire number ACE
will look at the applicable cable tag and give a suffix -1, -2, or -3 etc.
for the wire number.
Thanx
