The WD.ENV file is located in the AeData folder, parallel to the Proj,
Catalogs, and PLC folders. There is also a Tutorial folder if you have
version 2009. The WD.ENV is an environment variable file that allows you to
specify such things as the default path for inserting a symbol or footprint
using the Browse button on the Insert menu. You can also turn on such
features as an automatic zoom extents, by simply removing the asterisk at
the beginning of that line. You can define a zip utility to use when Acad/E
offers to create a zip backup of your project prior to a project-wide
update. You edit the WD.ENV file with Notepad or Wordpad and simply save as
a text file. See the attached screen shot for examples.
