For anyone using Acade to do P&ID's. How are you managing your line tags? I've tried using wire numbers, but I cannot get that to do what we want. It may just be that our line tags have too many requirements. A typical line tag includes: Size-Fluid Code-Tag#-Pipe Spec
Using the wire number by layer setup, I can force it to show this info, but for each different layer I have to specify a default tag number (wire number) starting point. I would have no way of knowing what that number would be, and it needs to be able to be flexible. So, as far as I can see, wire numbers by layer to do this isn't going to work.
Right now we do P&ID's in vanilla Acad, and the tags are just a block. We manually edit the attibutes, so there is no intelligence in them at all. If I have to, I'll do the same here.... but I'm hoping for some cool and impressive new way of doing line tags.
Any ideas?
