User programming API - (c:wd_bomschr ...) problem

Note: the following note originated as an email due to author's inability to
access this news group from his company site. Reproduced here with author's
permission:

I tried to go on the site of autodesk, but it can not display the page. I
will asked you my queston until it will be OK. I'm searching a way to use
(c:wd_bomschr (list 1 1 "" 3 nil "XLS" 1 "c:\\report.xls" nil))

For the nil entry it means Normal tallied format, 1=purchase format with
combined items,

and 2 for Display in \"By TAG\" format. In my case I would like to use for
Normal tallied format (grp by INST/LOC).

Is it possible do do it? I tried 0 and 3 instead nil just to try it, but it
didn't work either.

Regards,
Steve

Steve,
You're right, the BOM "Grouped by Inst/Loc" mode is not supported in the
command-line API call like it is in the normal BOM report from the Report
toolbar. There's no work-around other than manually invoking the BOM report
from the toolbar and then saving the report to your target file. This is an
omission and has been logged as a defect. Sorry!
Nate.
