this is driving me NUTS!!!!!

ACADE will change options on it's own. For example: I have my ACADE set in multi-drawing mode. I will be working on drawings within the same project. When I go to close out of the drawing (clicking upper right corner) I get the message "close the active window and promps to save the documents" along the bottom. I then go into my options and see that my ACADE has switched on me to Single-drawing compatibility mode. Why is it doing this and how can I get it to stop????
Thanks for your help
Jen

I don't know how to make it stop, but this happens to me quite often after running a project-wide utility or update. I've had the most luck in avoiding this if I have more than one drawing open when I initiate the utility or update (three or more is best).

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll just have to live with it. I am not running any project wide utilities when this happens. I'm glad it's happening to someone else too. I thought i was just going crazy for a while

Jenny,
Try to set the SDI system variable to 0, in lieu of 1. This should gray
out the "single drawing compadibility" box under "options>system".
In essence, you're doing the same thing by unchecking/checking the
box.....but it works for me.

Command: SDI
Enter new value for SDI <1>: 0
