Terminal-pinnumbers in wire from/to-reports

In AutoCad Electrical 2009 it is possible to assign pinnumbers to each side of a terminal.
Is it also possible to show these pinnumbers in a Wire From/To report?

Regards,
Robert

Does anyone have any idea about this?
I'm talking about the terminal-pinnumbers, which you can assign inside the terminalstripeditor.

If these pinnumbers can be shown in reports, we can use the terminalstripeditor to assign Internal/External connections.

Robert, the only way I can think of to show these would be if they were
carried on attributes rather than the default of xdata. Then you would add
these to the user-defined attribute list. I am not sure this would really be
practical though as a schematic terminal can represent any level if it is a
multi-level terminal and then the attribute name would be different, i.e.
L01PINL, L02PINL etc.

I am not sure I understand your last sentence as far as this being necessary
before you can use terminal strip editor to assign Internal/External
connections.

Pat, thank you for your answer.

Our company requires wire from/to lists, which shows the exact connection point on terminals, including external/internal information.
Therefore we have added the PD1 and PD2 columns to our wire from/to lists. To make these columns contain the correct information, we have to assign the internal/external information manually for each terminal in the schematic (Wires->Wire Miscellaneous->Terminal Connection Direction->Terminal: Mark Internal/External Direction). This is a lot of work and it is easy to forget a few terminals.

It is much easier to assign the external/internal information in the terminal-strip editor, however this isn’t always updated correctly on the schematics in ACadE 2007 and ACadE 2009 doesn’t update the schematics at all. Therefore it would be nice to just show the terminal-pinnumbers in the reports.

Robert,

Please provide more detail when you say 2009 doesn't update the schematics
at all. If something is changed in the terminal strip editor it should
update all schematic terminals on exit.

In the terminalstripeditor you can change the internal/external information by shifting the (cable-)wires from left to right or from right to left.
Than when you exit the terminalstripeditor, the PD1 and PD2 fields of the schematic terminals should update automatically.

In AcadE 2007 the PD1/PD2 fields do get updated.

Also when I change the internal/external information manually inside the schematic (mark internal/external connections) the changes can be seen in the terminalstripeditor.

In AcadE 2009 the PD1/PD2 fields don't get updated after using the terminalstripeditor.

Robert, we will investigate this issue and as soon as I have any information
I will let you know.

Thank you for posting this.

Robert,

Do you happen to know where the PD1/PD2 fields get their values from? Are
they referring to an attribute value in the schematic symbol?

Thanks,
Mauro

I think the PD1/PD2 columns in the wire from/to reports, get their values from the X?TERMDESC01-attributes in the schematic terminal-symbol (the ? in X?TERMDESC01 depends on the connection-side).

Robert,

Thi issue has been logged and will be taken into consideration. I am afraid
I cannot suggest a workaround at this point.

Sorry for any inconvenience,
Mauro

Has any more work been done on this in ACADE 2013? I too want terminal information in my from-to lists.
