terminal number character length

i insert a 'wire number change' terminal (ex. HT1002) and in the screen that pops up, in the field to enter the terminal number it limits me to 10 characters. Is there a way to increase this? or what's the easiest way to get around it?

Let me know if this helps you...

1) Exit Acade
2) Open the text file scrdbmdb.ini in the ‘\Program Files\Autodesk\Acade 2006’ folder
3) Find the section that looks like:
CREATE TABLE [WIREFRM2] (
[DWGIX] VARCHAR(8),
[WNUM_HDL] VARCHAR(18),
[COMP_HDL] VARCHAR(18),
[TERM] VARCHAR(10),
[WIRELAY] VARCHAR(32),
[WIRESEQ] VARCHAR(4),
[CABLE_HDL] VARCHAR(18),
[RECNUM] COUNTER NOT NULL);
4) Change the line “[TERM] VARCHAR(10),” to read “[TERM] VARCHAR(24),” (just change the 10 to a 24)
5) Delete all there scratch databases in the ‘user’ folder and restart Acade.

hope this helps

didn't work. i opened the .ini file and the value was already set to 24. i tried changing the 24 to 20 or 6, or 3 and it didn't seem to change at all.

when you say scratch database, you are refering to all the .mdb files in the user folder, correct?
