Tag into Description

In the description of my component I would like to show its tagnumber. I think this can only be automated with a routine. Anyone who has such a routine?

Hi Jos,

Do you want the tagnumber to show up as the full value of the description
attribute or do you want it to be a substring in the description?

For example, with tagnumber = "P1-K101"

Do you want:

1) attribute DESC3 value = "P1-K101"
or 2) attribute DESC3 value = "Component P1-K101 supplied by contractor"

??

It is option 2 I would like to have. And if possible, if the tag of the component changes, the descripion changed also.

We used the options button (in Component Tag) to achieve what we desired.
