In Insert/Edit Attributes palette, what is the function of Prompt row for a attribute. What type of text is expected in this row? How is it reflected when you insert the synbol with a prompt in some attributes? Please elaborate.

The prompt field is a string of text that gives an indication of what kind of value is expected to be entered. For example, an attribute for an electrical rating in volts can have a prompt that says "Enter Voltage".

The prompt itself does not appear when you insert the attributed block, only the value.
