I believe if the active drawing is not part of the active project these
buttons are greyed out.

You did not say what version of ACADE you are using, but in the recent
versions there is a "Go To" button from the Electrical Audit dialog. You
select the error you want to surf to and click Go To. In earlier versions
you select the error and click Surf. I think Surf stays greyed out until
you select one of the errors from the list.

Hi Pat,

I opened a drawing from another project with 2008 and ran Drawing Audit but
the Surf button is not greyed out. I wonder if he might be running an
earlier version of AcadE.

Sorry, I misread the original post. I was thinking of the Surf button on the
toolbar which in earlier versions of AcadE is greyed out when the active
drawing is not part of the active project.

Sorry for any confusion,
Pat Murnen

I'm not sure what the issue might be. Mine works just fine in 2008. But I
have never had an issue with this function going all the way back to 1997.
I even tried it just now with a drawing that is not in the active project
and it worked. You just click on Surf and select the error you wish to surf
to. Now if you run a Drawing Audit and there are no errors listed the Surf
button will be greayed out because there is no error to surf to. maybe that
is what you see. This surf function is only for surfing the error list. It
is not the same as the surf on the main toolbar.
