Support Files

We currently install our AutoCAD Electrical support files (menus, slides,
symbols, pc3s, mdbs, vlxs, etc.) on the users hard-drive. From a maintenance
standpoint, for our AutoCAD Electrical 2009 rollout, we are thinking about
configuring AutoCAD Electrical to point to our network for our support
files.

For those of you that are referencing support files from a network location,
I am wondering how well it works for your organization.

Thanks,

Nick

We've used network located support files for a few years and it works well. We have a small group, so it's not really difficult to find out about changes that are needed or to make changes and let others know.
One area where we've had a problem is with xls template files - so far, we can't seem to find a way to reference these on a network drive. All other info, like menus, slides, symbols and catalogues, work fine.
