Subassembly

Okay, say I have 2 panel enclosures. They both require subassembly's.

Panel 1 requires:
2xPART_A, 1xPART_B, and 5xPART_C.

Panel 2 requires:
3xPART_A, 1xPART_B, and 7xPART_C.

Must I create multiple parts catalog entries for each specific assemblylist? Or is there some easier way of assigning x number of different parts to a specific list?

Thanks in advance,
-Bryan

You can have multiple subassembly items for each assembly. All you need to
do is put a semi colon (;) in between items in the assembly code list. You
only have 60 characters to do the lists unfortunately. There is a way to
specify multiple's of a specific item in the list but I can't find the
thread or remember how to do it.

The format for entering the codes is:

QTY,ASSEMBLYCODE;QTY,ASSEMBLYCODE

So in your case you would enter for Panel 1:
2,PART_A;1,PART_B;5,PART_C

For Panel 2 you would enter:
3,PART_A;1,PART_B;7,PART_C

A quantity of 1 is the default, so in either case for PART_B which has a quantity of 1, you would not need to enter the 1, before the assemblycode, so the format could be:
2,PART_A;PART_B;5,PART_C

Good luck!
