Strech Block renames block to a different name

Is there a way to keep the block name the same after streching it?

Thanks
Jeff

The simple answer is ‘NO’.

If you really think about it, how could the block have the same name? IF it did, and the block was used in the drawing in other places, those blocks would also end up STRETCHED, as the block would have been redefined in AutoCAD’s BLOCK DEFINITION FILE.

So NO, using the STRETCH BLOCK command has to rename the block to a different block name. Quit a powerful tool in AcadE if you ask me.
