Reverse and flip components

Hi...

I worked out how to get my components vertical or horizontal by drawing them twice and giving them the same file name i.e VDV11_004 and HDV11_004 but can't seem to get them to flip or reverse...? can somone enlighten me??

many thanks

Graham

Can you post the dwgs so that one of us can test them and possibly see if there an issue with the file?

Hi Bob,

I thought I had replied already but evidently not!

Thanks for looking at this for me.

Attached is a DWG with a component I created (a motorised Battery switch used in marine installations) I have shown it vertical and horzontal.

Thanks

Graham

I see your issue now. Flip/Reverse only works with symbols that have only two terninals. With three or more, the software cannot determine everything needed to reroute all the connected wires even if you only have two wires connected.

Does this mean that it can be flipped/reversed if no wires are connected to the "3 or more terminals" component?

I  just checked. Both Vertical and horizontal symbols with both flip and reverse if no wires are connected.
