Report Exporting Problem

I've encountered a problem since upgrading my computer and putting ACADE07 on it (same install as on previous machine). I can run any report and put the results on the drawing, but when I try to export it to an excel spreadsheet, the output file just was a bunch of empty blanks. If i export it to a CSV file and then open excel and save it as an xls, everything is fine, but i obviously would like to skip out the extra step, since it worked fine on my old machine. anyone have any thoughts?
