Hi Everyone,
I decided to post a random tip (Why Not?).
This Post deals with the Normal ACAD Selection modes (From the "Select" Command) that work inside of AutoCAD Electrical.
Enjoy!
Selection Modes
These are usable with Move Circuit, Copy Circuit, when wblocking out a circuit, and anywhere the "select" command is used (including the normal acad commands, like copy, move, rotate... but don't use those in ACADE!)
C – Crossing window (Moving right /up with left mouse click)
W – Selection Window (Moving Left /Down with left mouse click)
CP – Crossing Polygon
WP – Windowed Polygon
P – Previous Selection
All –Select all non-frozen layers / Objects
L – Last Created object
F – Fence
*** And in 2015 you have the new lasso (you can turn it off in options in the "Selection" Tab look for Selection Modes (on the left side) it's a Checkbox under "Implied Windowing" called "Allow Press and Drag for Lasso"***
Wire Trim
Wire trim has several multi- select tools but doesn't have access to the full selection mode tools.
C – Crossing window (slightly different then a normal Crossing window, wire buses remain after selecting an entire ladder circuit)
F – Fence
I hope this helps,
James
