i've created a part

i've created a footprint, inserted via the panel menu & browser, told it - it was a foot print

all works ok

if i run aepanelreport & include schematic BOM

I QTY = 2 ? should be = 1?????

(AB lanmps & nameplates works ok)

any ideas will be very helpful

Thanks

Steve

Can you send us an example page? Put the schematic symbol and your footprint symbol on one page and post it here.

There should be a logical reason for this 🙂

Hi

I was just preparing the drawings to send - thanks

Found it! the problem was with a transmitter & footprint - however i had the probe itself loaded with the same part number as the transmitter - hence i was getting a QTY= 2

A new question

I am running panel report with the full box ticked to get a full  BOM list, by typing AEPANELREPORT into the command line

but why have a panel and a schematic BOM reporter?? why not just the one?

Thanks for your help

Hi Steve.

Some customers only draw the schematics, some customers draws only the panel drawings, while others draw both. So we need the flexibility in AcadE.
