Purge Command Crashes

Hi, one of my CAD team is having problems with running some of the commands, i.e. PURGE, INSERT. Everytime the command is ran it trys to run it, then it stops and hangs. It seems like it's trying to run the command, but its not doing anything. "ESC" will take it out of the command. Anyone have an idea of what's happening here. Please send reply to "alugo@tescocontrols.com"

Maybe try an AUDIT or RECOVER on the problem drawing(s) before you PURGE.

We've already tried AUDIT, no luck there. The "purge" command does not work at all for any drawings. Any other comments, ideas??

By the way, we are using ACADE 2007 SP1.

Have you tried RECOVER also? I think that repairs some additional errors. I've not heard of this problem before, unless someone re-defined the PURGE program and made an error.

Have you tried the command-line equivalent, -PURGE?

The AUDIT and RECOVER was the first thing we did. Command line "-Purge" does not work either. However, the command line " /PURGE" as defined in "acad.pgp" file works??? We are totally clueless at this point. It's We may need to reinstall the whole program...again. This isn't the first time we've had intermittent problems with ACADE!!!

If you go into plain AutoCAD does it still act the same way? There should be
a choice for it on the menu group added when you installed AutoCAD
Electrical. If it still acts this way outside of AutoCAD Electrical you
might try posting on the AutoCAD newsgroup.
