Yes, I looked at that screen shoot, that was where I got the idea for the
registering of those file, that is the exact dialog that you get when the
MSJETOLEDB.DLL file is not registered. I get the exact empty dialog when I
force the MSJETOLEDB.DLL file to unregister and then run Acade and try and
add or remove a file from the project. All I do then is register the dialog
as stated in my previous post and run Acade again and all is well.
As for the path in the Options dialog, that path is for standard AutoCAD
functionality and as far as I know we do nothing with that path or any files
in it. I completely removed that folder from my machine and still had no
problems.
A couple questions,
1) When you first load Acade, do you get an error dialog stating: 'Unable
to communicate with the Project Database Service'
2) Could you exit Acade and then reloaded it and use the F2 key for flip to
the text screen and see if there are any errors listed? If there are just
right-click and 'Copy history' and paste that in a post. When I do this I
get no errors even what I am able to duplicate your issue, but I am now
thinking your issue is different then what I was thinking.

OK....msjet dll version is as you hoped.
XP version is at SP2
Ran the MDAC file you specified.....no change.
Steve, have you looked at the screen.rtf file attached to an earlier post
above? If I look at the Tools-Options-Files-Datalinks a path is there down
to the ACADE directory.
However when I try to drill down to that directory from the dialog of the
RTF screenshot the directory won't appear. Not even sure what info it is
actually looking for.
