problem in connecting wire

Sometimes when I connect wire at a component it gets attached to some other point on component & not at the desired location?

Hi,

Whey you select the "Insert Wire" tool, you can hold your mouse over a
device and hit the "s" key followed by the space bar and AutoCAD Electrical
will place a large green "X" on each of the wire connection points so you
can easily see the exact point where the wire will attach itself.

Give it a try and let me know if that helps.

Thanks,
Scott

Also be careful that your object snap settings are not creating a problem. The green "X" feature that Scott speaks of (a feature they put in to humor me a long time ago) is also very helpful. But often the problem you describe can be caused by broad object snap settings
