Plotting to HP DesignJet 500

I have not been able to make AutoCAD electrical 2004 plot correctly to my HP DesignJet 500. I have the latest HP drivers. I am running Windows XP Pro. My customer forces me to use CTB files. The plotted files looked as if printer driver is not interpreting the CTB file correctly. only a few lines will appear to have correct line widths. Most of the lines are plotting at a minimum line with, ignoring the line widths set in the CTB file. I have tried creating a new CTB file, where every color has the same line widths, but that does not work either. The CTB file works fine with AutoCAD 2000 and the same HP driver. Jens Jensen

Speaking from a purely AutoCAD standpoint...and without seeing the DWG & CTB here are a few things to check. I would check to see if those are not plines with widths applied (ignoring the lineweights applied in the CTB) if so then either PEDIT them to all have a 0 width... or check to see if a lineweight was applied to the layer which they reside. In addition to any of the replies already received, you may find more information or responses by posting future print related questions in the print/plot discussion group. Tracy, No, the problem is not plines etc. I have also posted the question to the print/plot discussion group and to HP forums. In the course of troubleshooting this problemI have discovered that I cannot applies the 2004 service pack to AutoCAD electrical. I get an error message indicating that the expected product cannot be found on my computer. The automatic updating says it is up-to-date eventhough the version is 2004.0.0 service pack 0. Some time back I had a problem similar to yours. Check out this thread, there is a link in the final post to a SP that fixed my problem. http://discussion.autodesk.com/thread.jspa?messageID=449642

Jens AutoCAD Electrical 2004 shipped with Service Pack 1 already applied to the AutoCAD portion. The following link should provide a fix for your printing problems. http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=3542829&linkID=2475161 -- Regards, Jared Bunch Technical Support Specialist Autodesk, Inc "Jens Jensen" wrote in message news:406428ec_1@newsprd01... > I have not been able to make AutoCAD electrical 2004 plot correctly to my HP > DesignJet 500.
