PLC Editor

Hello,

I have no idea what to do when I have DIO module.

For now I edit module to get right, 12x DI and 4xDO.

And what to do when I need to change after insert,

I deleted old and insert new.

Our Siemens modules are not in the database, is there any other

Firm module DIO, to check how was set.

Thanks, Vito

A good example to start with: A-B 1794-IB10XOB6

If I remember correct, these can be copied using a simple right-mouse click in the "PLC Database File Editor" versions 2008 and later.

Are you trying to find the old module info or create a new module?

You can try to export the PLC I/O address or descriptions option in the Import/Export Data tab.
Then you can see or edit the correct PLC info.

If you want AutoCAD Electrical to prompt for a new input/output address after the channels change from inputs to outputs.

Under the terminal grid control, Optional Re-prompt.

On the line where you want AutoCAD Electrical to prompt for a new output address, select Output.
If you want AutoCAD Electrical to prompt for a new input address, select Input from the list.

Thanks,

I see there isn't any fast solution for DIO modules, it isn't combination module,
from software will be set if input or output.

Oh, I know what you are talking about. I believe you are talking about the cards with switchable IO points (input or output). The only thing I could recommend is make a custom DIO card for each desired combination. So that means you could have up 2^16 (= 65536) possible combinations for this 16-point DIO card.
