New manufacturer catalogs not showing after being added

I have tried to add additional manufacturers to the catalog through the uninstall/install function.  You can see the different files being processed as it goes from one tothe next.  The added manufactureres don't appear in the catalog.  Is there a step that I am missing?

Hi Pabeader,

Make sure you have disabled any Virus checkers (ONLY FOR THE INSTALL), and turn off UAC.

I have seen instances of the Installer not working (even though it tells you it was fine), in most cases its because the catalog was in use.

If you have issues here is the best thing to do to make sure it will update.

  • Disable UAC
  • Clear any write protection on the File folder
  • Restart your computer (DO NOT Fire up ACADE or MS ACCESS)
  • diasble the Virus Checker
  • Run the Catalog update

You can also try Running the "acadecontent.msi" File that should go through and do the same thing.

(Located in : <USB DRIVE or HARD DRIVE>\x64\AcadeContent)

Make sure you are not using the catalog in AutoCAD or Access, when you run this file othewrwise the changes will not occur.

If its still not working, Copy the Catalog from another machine. (Thats the quickest fix)

I hope this helps,

James

After much wailing and gnashing of teeth, we ended up doing a complete uninstall and reinstall.  Also, it turns out that there is sometimes an issue installing over the internet with an iffy internet connection.  So the complete package was downloaded and then the install was completed.  All the selected manufacturers are now listed and usable.
