Hi EdBalwin,
If I understood your issue, my suggestion is:
1) Run ACE2006 SP1.
2) Delete your project file and create a new file.
3) Delete your local project database (located in ACE2006/User folder )
PS: Maybe you should test performance moving your local ACE shared files to
your network. See "Advanced Productivity Help --> Setting Up AutoCAD
Electrical for Multiple users"....
I hope it can help you.

I have an ACE 2005 project that I created on my local (C:) drive. I
recently upgraded to ACE 2006. After completing the project, I copied the
project onto our company's server and deleted it from my hard drive. Now,
when I try to open the project directly from the server, I get a status bar
label Updating.... I let it run once for over 3 hours, and it got
approximately 40% of the way across the screen. I've had the exact same
problem when using the Copy Project function.
If I copy the project back to my hard drive, it works fine. I also tried
moving the built-in demo project with the same results.
Lastly, it seems to be tied somehow to my computer, since I had someone else
open the project, and it worked fine.
Any help would be significantly appreciated.
