You can click the wire number edit icon and select any wire. You will get a dialog box that has a field to manually enter a wire number. By default ACE designates the wire number as fixed, so if you do not want it fixed, deselect the check box before clicking OK. If you do not understand the difference between fixed wire numbers and normal wire numbers, fixed wire numbers are a protected class. Auto-wire numbering does not affect fixed wire numbers. This is handy when you have certain wires, in a core harness for example, that you never want changed. If you ever did want to change them you have to use the editor and do it manually or use the editor to deselect fixed class. There is a project-wide utility to erase all wire numbers and start over and it allows you to erase fixed if desired. This is under the project-wide utility icon on the project manager flyout.
