It seems like everything I insert into a schematic is white. I looked at the layers and indeed most are set to color of white. Seems like tags and cross-references, etc. had various colors before. Anyone know how it changed or how to get the layer colors back to the way they were set up initially (default colors)?

theres a setting in project/page properties > drawing format > define layers
which might explain whats happening
the apply to entiites tick box might be switched off heres the help file info
As AutoCAD Electrical inserts a component, it moves the parts and pieces of the symbol to the category layers listed in this dialog box. If you do not want an attribute or the graphics of a specific electrical symbol block to move to the defined AutoCAD Electrical layers, create your symbol with the entities on some layer other than 0, and then select this switch.
I have had that happen occasionally. The only thing I can think of that may cause it is a block that is somehow resetting the colours to white.
The easy fix is to import a layer state that has all the correct layers and settings...
To do so, SHUT DOWN and restart your machine as a precaution.
Open a known good dwg and check the state of the layers and settings.
Open the 'Layer Properties Manager' and then click on the 'Layer States Manager'
Check the required 'Layer Properties to Restore' on the right hand Side.
Save the Layer state first of all, then Export the layer state to a LAS file.
Close that dwg and open the problem Dwg.
Open the 'Layer Properties Manager' and then click on the 'Layer States Manager'
Select any existing layer states and Delete them.
Click Import and find the LAS file you exported previously.
Once the file has imported, click Yes to restore the Layer states.
Save the layer state then close and exit out.
Your layers should now have the colours as set in the good dwg.
Keep track of the LAS file and you would only have to do the Import and Restore if the problem occurs again.
You can also have different LAS files for different dwg types. One for Schematics, another for Layouts and so on.
