Item number on panel footprint. Is there an attribute?

Hello, I am finding that putting balloons on pushbuttons and selector switches is very time consuming. It is also difficult to get all of the balloons to insert in the same location for each operator. Is there a way to add an attribute to the operator footprint that automatically inserts the item number? Or is there a way to insert the balloons so that they all have the same insertion point?

One way I have done it was to lay down a construction line (XLINE) near where I want the baloons to be and then set my OSNAP to nearest and select that line for the location. This helps getting them the same distance away from the components.
