It would be nice if--I think

Hi All

May be more experienced uses have an answer to my thoughts.

Under the family group of CB (circuit breakers) I would like to see several sub sections.  One for ABB, one for Terasaki and Merlyn Gerin.

To me this would group all the auxiliary part numbers of CBs by manufacturer.

May be there is a built in technique that I am still to learn.

I do not have any understanding of LISP so that is not a solution for me.

Just for discussion.

Cheers  john Q

When you add a component, the database lookup is already shown, split up by manufacturer with further sorting based on ratings and type.

The symbols themself are the same, no matter what brand you are using.

If you find that if you are using the same components all the time and hate to have to go through the database every time to pick catalog numbers, make as many copies of a symbol that you want for each manufacturer and then go into each and hardcode them for that MFG/CAT group.

Then go into the Icon menu wizard and add them to the menu. I create a new subMenu called Company comps and place all of them in here.

Now when you want to insert an AB CB, just select the specific one from the menu. No more trips to the database!
