Inserting Wires

Hi,

When inserting a wire from terminal to terminal. The wire doesnt always take a direct route, the wire sometimes inserts are the terminal point then draws in a completely random direction then finally to the destination terminal. I hope this makes sense. Can someone advise how to overcome this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Steve,

It Depends on the terminal that exists on the Symbol.

The little "XXtermYY" Flag marker determines the direct the wire will leave of come in.

YY is the Terminal number (it breaks after 99 since it can export out more then 99 connections).

The XX is what determines the direction.

X0 Center - The wire can go in any Direction.

X1 Rightt - The wire must enter or exit from the Right side

X2 Top - The wire must enter or exit from the Top

X4 Left - The wire must enter or exit from the Left side

X8 Bottom - The wire must enter or exit from the Bottom

Example:

x4term01 - A Left based wire for terminal 1 (Pin 1)

x1term02  -  A Right based wire for terminal 2 (Pin 2).

Its possible the Terminals are reversed, or if there are multiple connection points its possible you selected something that was closer to one of terminals going the wrong direction. Take a quick look at the symbol to make sure the terminal is going the right way (use the X numbers above).

I hope this helps,

James

Check if there is a zero length wire on the terminal using Window Selection.
