Importing Database File (.DBF) into AutoCAD 2014 Electrical

Hello,

I am working in AutoCAD 2014 Electrical and I am trying to import Database Files (.DBF) that were originally created in Aceri Electrical Designer.  Aceri Electrical Designer uses the AutoCAD core so I am able to open the .DWG files directly in AutoCAD 2014 Electrical.  At this point I am not able to get the connectivity from the database files in AutoCAD2014.  Does anyone have any adivce on how to import the database files and restore the connectivity (i.e. keep the objects "smart") of the drawings?  Is this something that I could use the Promis-e Conversion function for?

A co-worker one of my company's European offices has had some sucess converting the drawings within AutoCAD, but due to the language barrier I can not determine what he did to make it work.  Any help on this would be appreciated, thank you!
