Hi,

AutoCAD Mechanical has built-in support for IGES - just what you are asking
for. Autodesk Mechanical Desktop has support for both IGES and STEP.

As this is the AutoCAD Electrical newsgroup and you are asking about
AutoCAD - did you accidentally drop into the wrong newsgroup?

Regards,

Eric

Unfortunately you need Solidworks to use XchangeWorks.

Is there an Autodesk product to convert a step file to a dwg?

AutoCAD Mechanical has an IGES converter and Autodesk Mechanical Desktop
that comes as part of the Autodesk Inventor Suite has IGES and STEP
converters.
