How to use rung number as your wire number?

Hi,
I would like to used the rung number as my wire number. I know that this can be done and I used it before at my last employment where I did not get involve in setting up AutoCAD Electrical. Now, I have to do the setup etc. Thank you advance for your help on this matter.

Thank you for your comment. However, I do have %N on the wire number format field of the drawing properties. The wiring number I get is starting 0, 1, 2... etc, not the corresponding rung numbers that I need.

Hi,

Check your Drawing Properties. In the Wire Format tab pick Line Reference function.

Go to the dwg properties and set the Components to Line Reference and the choose the suffix you want to help show the line and the number of the component. You can do this for the project as well in the project properties. Good luck.

Sorry, my comments were for the components. Do the same for the wires in the properties of the project or the dwg.

Make sure you don't have the box checked for sequential mode. You want line reference based.
