how to add new numbers

Good Morning,

I'm a new Electrical user and need to ask a question.

I'm using fixed numbers and need to change the wire number after it crosses
a plug/receptacle. The program is not letting me add a new number. When I
pick "edit number" to add a new number, the previous number highlights. How
can I get around this?

ACE makes a connector that has the same wire number on both sides. But you can change this.
The Electrical way: Component->Component Miscellaneous->Add/edit Internal Jumpers then select the jumpers on the right and press the delete button. Normally it should be possible now.
The simple AutoCAD way: Delete the value of the wd_jumpers attribute and all jumpers are gone.

There are specific symbols for terminal and connectors that force a wire
number change across them. That would save you the manual labor. The
connector builder has a toggle under details that allows you to designate
whether or not you want the wire number to change. I suggest letting AcadE
manage the wire number change on its own to avoid typos.
