How do I add ASSYCODE entry for new PLCIO accy's & what table/family are they?

Hello,

I have made PLCIO modules in the PLC Database File Editor.

Now I need to make one that has an accessory ASSYCODE option depending on what else must be purchased to make the module work.

I see several modules that list ASSYCODE 's, and I may have even made an assycode for other components in the past.

Typically I use Multiple Catalog-Multiple Bill of Material Information because it seems quicker and easier for normal Icon Menu components.

Where do I create assycode entry that will be picked up and used when I insert the PLCIO module from the Icon Menu-Insert Component?

I have looked to try to use pre-entered PLCIO modules from the ACADE installation for an example, and can not find where the assycode's are in any of the databases.  Am I be able to create this using ACADE, or does it require external database modification?

Is there a particular table and or family that these need to entered under?

I prefer community answers so that it is searchable by me and others in the future that may have the same questions.

I appreciate your help,

Tom Inman

Tom,

Use the PLC Database File Editor (schematic ribbon, other tools).

When it opens, it looks like this:

Capture_plcdatabaseeditor.PNG

Note the yellow highlight...
Then in the footprint database editor be sure to set up this catalog/assembly code to point to the foot print you want also.

Thank you Darrell.

That worked well.
