File WD_WCH.dwg not found

I get the following error when I try to copy a wire number in ACE 2006.

File WD_WCH.dwg not found

Anybody know why, and have a solution?

Thanks
Chad

Make sure that wd_wch.dwg exists in a folder defined in your active
project's schematic library path list. To see the list of paths that AcadE
checks in order to try to find a schematic symbol, you can do this: start
the INS COMP command to bring up the icon selection menu. Down in the bottom
left-hand corner of the dialog, ether some goofy symbol name in the edit
box, like "goofy" and hit OK. You should get a dialog listing all of the
paths that AcadE checked in its futile search for goofy.dwg.

Nate,
Thanks - checking the paths, and adding the path took care of the problem.

Is there a way to add the path to all existing projects?
I had to move some files around to fix database errors and now I have to manually correct the paths to get the components to insert.

Each project's ".wdp" file has the schematic search paths
embedded in a line that begins with a "+[1]" prefix. An example might look
like this:

+[1]c:/program files/autodesk/acade 2006/Libs/IEC2;c:/program
files/autodesk/acade 2006/Libs/pneu_iso125/

So, to add some new path to every existing project ".wdp" file, you could
probably just use an ASCII text file search/replace function (the one I use,
one of many out there, is called "TextPad") on all "*.wdp" files in a
folder. Just look for "+[1]" and replace it with
"+[1]x:/my_new_folder/path_to_libs/;"

Make sure you end the path you insert with a semicolon char so that the
existing paths get preserved and pasted in to be correctly parsed by AcadE.

Nate.
