Mr. BDETUNCQ is exactly right. AcadE pulls the handle of the object
(schematic component, panel footprint, wire number, or whatever the
spreadsheet is dealing with) and the drawing name into the spreadsheet. It
uses these two fields to then find the original source object when you want
to have edited spreadsheet data get written back to the drawing files. If
you edit either of these "key" fields, then AcadE loses its ability to map
back to the specific drawing and object.

I am more curious then anything but when I export a ACadE 2006 drawing to a
spreadsheet many things get populated. The one that I am clueless about is
(HDL) column.
What do the codes mean exactly?
I know that I am warned about changing them, I am very curious about their
usage.
